I’ve had this post idea circulating in my mind for a while now. I woke up this morning and decided today is the day.
It’s kismet, really, because as I was listening to my current chapter in The Artist’s Way, it was all about “luxury” and how it relates to our creative recovery.
How we interact with life’s “luxuries,” no matter how big or small, says a lot about how we view ourselves and our worth.
I'd rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck.
-Emma Goldman
Now, while I personally disagree with the literal interpretation of this quote, (I always prefer diamonds), the sentiment remains.
Life’s little luxuries are the ones that truly matter, yet they are the ones we most often deny ourselves.
Which begs the question:
What are we truly worth?
This list includes many things that are completely free and many that are most certainly not.
And I hope that you find value in both.
